We’ve had a number of people asking us this week on how to access their library accounts on the new Tyndale Library catalog.

To access your account you can sign in to you “My Borrower’s Account” on the new catalog.

1. Go to the Tyndale library homepage: www.tyndale.ca/library
2. Click on the “Advanced Search” link
3. Click on the “My Library Account - Sign in” link in the top left-hand corner
4. Enter your library barcode number in the “Borrower’s barcode” box
5. Enter your MyTyndale password in the “Password” box

If the above steps do not work for you it could mean that you need to reset your password. To do so, go back to the “My Library Account - Sign in” screen and click the “Set/reset password” link. Follow the instructions.

After months of work behind the scenes Tyndale’s Library Services is about to make the final switch to WorldCat for the management of our local library resources. Patrons will be able to search the Tyndale Library resources or expand their search to libraries worldwide. Whatever you choose items available to the Tyndale community will always appear at the top of you list. Ebooks are fully integrated. There are also links to online articles. All items signed out in our old system will be transferred to the new system. When you log in to your borrower’s account in WorldCat for the first time you will use your existing library barcode on your Tyndale ID card. You will then be prompted to create your own password.

Some functions work quite differently than before. The best way to get started is to check it out.

The J. William Horsey Library will be open the following hours from April 22, 2013 - July 27, 2013:

Mon - Thurs: 8:00 am - 8:30 pm

Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Saturday: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm, only on the following dates:

• Apr 27
• May 4, 11, 25
• June 1, 8 ,15, 22
• July 6, 20

Also, please note that the library will be closed on Tuesday, April 23 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The Education Library will be open the following hours from Monday, April 8, 2013 to Sunday, May 12, 2013:

Monday to Thursday: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

The Tyndale Poetry Club would like to invite you to HEAVENWORD, a community event that focuses on spoken word as a medium for fellowship. We seek to provide a stage for Christian artists where they can develop their gifts in celebration with the community. The event will focus on spoken word and how it is embodied by talented people from different places.

Friday, March 22 at 6:45 pm in the Tyndale Chapel

Admission is $7.00. There will be some open mic spots — come ready to share your talent!

To access the guide take the following steps:

1. Go to www.tyndale.ca/library
2. Click on the Online Resources tab
3. Click on the Open Access in the Research Guides box
4. Click on the Open Access tab to access a list of free digital libraries
5. Click on the Open Culture tab to access a list of free multimedia resource sites
6. Click on the Open Education tab to access a list of free digital

Open Access resources are essentially resources that are either under the public domain or available through a “Creative Commons” license.
