About Lydia Jia
Lydia is warm, soothing, and compassionate, and finds deep satisfaction in supporting others. She is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space for others, walking with them every step of the way. With experience as a crisis responder and support group co-facilitator, she has worked with people from various life stages and cultural backgrounds. Having been through academic stress and cultural adjustment in school, Lydia has a heart especially for students and young adults. She has been serving in student ministries and formerly volunteered as a peer support listener. Lydia's practice is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems. She is interested in helping people facing depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, cultural adjustments, relationship challenges, spirituality, and questions about gender and sexuality. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and running.
