About Janey Yum

Janey brings a calm, grounded presence to her work and draws on an integrative approach—incorporating narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT)—to support each client’s unique journey. She is kind and thoughtful and considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. With gentle curiosity, openness, and compassion, Janey offers a welcoming space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and stories, in an atmosphere of safety and respect. She is especially passionate about supporting people through experiences such as trauma, depression, anxiety and panic attacks, spirituality and faith, parenting, life transitions, self-esteem, relationships, personal growth, shame and guilt, and grief. Janey also finds it meaningful to work with clergy and others who provide spiritual care, supporting them in the unique responsibilities they often carry. She is comfortable working with adolescents, adults, and couples, adapting her approach to suit the needs of each person or relationship. Janey is married and has three young adult and teenage sons. She finds joy in reading and baking scones, and treasures time spent laughing with friends and family over meals and game nights.
