POSITION PURPOSE

The Student After Hours IT Support position is responsible for providing technical support for evening and weekend classes, as well as, both internal and external events held on-site.

This position is accepting applications and takes effect Fall 2025

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

IT After Hours Support

  • Remain in-contact with the main reception via radio to address any classroom support requests.
  • Check all classrooms not currently in use for any equipment not functioning correctly.
  • Check the three computer labs to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Check that printers are fully stocked with paper, are not jammed or displaying any errors.
  • Provide a summarized report of all incidents and support requests.
  • Submit completed “Shift Report” at the end of each shift.
  • Submit timesheet to supervisor by the prescribed date.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma
  • Must be a current full-time Tyndale student in good academic standing

Experience

  • 0-6 months of hands-on IT technical and service experience
  • In-depth experience with Windows and MAC operating systems 
  • Experience or familiarity with computer hardware, iPhone and Android OS’s, printers, wireless internet (WiFi), Windows 7/10, Mac OS

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Proven ability to identify problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions

Hourly Rate:

$18.00
