Biography
Dr. Murray is an Instructor of the History of Christianity and Creative Producer of Distributed Learning at Tyndale University. Originally from New Brunswick, he moved to Southern Ontario in 2016. He serves on the Administrative Committee of the Acadia Centre for Baptist and Anabaptist Studies and as a Member-at-Large with the Canadian Baptist Historical Society. He is Assistant Editor of Post-Christendom Studies, which is the academic journal of the McMaster Divinity College Centre for Post-Christendom Studies in Hamilton. His publications include Baptists in Canada: Their History and Polity (co-author, 2020), Canadian Baptist Fundamentalism, 1878–1978 (co-editor, 2022), and Atlantic Baptists and Their World: A Festschrift in Honour of Dr. Robert S. Wilson (co-editor, 2020). He is a member of Mount Hamilton Baptist Church, where he briefly served on the Board of Directors. He lives in Hamilton with his wife, Leanne, and their two cats, Cameo and Bill.
Dr. Murray is teaching an asynchronous course on History of Christianity I in the Spring Summer 2026 semester.
