March 17-19 , our Director, Philip Yan, had the privilege of spending three days at Crandall University and the Christian community in Moncton.

It was indeed a trip of lingering thoughts of deep engagement.

Philip spent two days at the Vennture Conference as their keynote speaker hosted by CBM, followed by a luncheon meeting with pastors and business leaders on the last day. Across nine sessions in three days, he had the honour of speaking at the Chapel, business classes, and a public lecture, engaging in thoughtful discourse that challenges our notions on the trends of faith engagement and the future of kingdom influence. There were many questions raised, and insights shared. The common thread running through all of it was one core question—How can faith practically shape the real work of leadership and business?

We went deep on:

  • What it means to be a redemptive builder
  • Embedding purpose into strategy—not just a mission statement
  • Faith and work integration that moves between missional → relational → operational
  • How cultural influence is shaping the marketplace
  • How ministry leaders can see the builders’ Kingdom mission in the marketplace and support them

The opportunity is here, and the hunger is real. But without intentional formation, the builder’s potential Kingdom influence stays dormant. We’re incredibly grateful to Crandall University and CBM for the invitation—and for allowing the CRE to share about the mission of Kingdom builders. This is exactly what the CRE exists to do: forming builders who are committed to their calling and are intentional about what they build.
