Biography

Pablo became a Christian at age six and studied architecture at the Universidad del Bío-Bío in Chile, graduating in 2000. He ran an architecture practice with his wife, Cheryl, from 2002 to 2009 while actively serving in their local church in Concepción through preaching, teaching, and youth ministry.

In 2009, Pablo and Cheryl were commended to full-time missionary work and moved to Coyhaique, Patagonia, where they focused on evangelism and discipleship, leading to the formation of a new local church. They relocated to Rosario in 2013, supporting nearby churches through gospel work and expositional teaching.

In 2016, the family moved to Wheaton, Illinois, where Pablo earned an M.A. in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College with a Billy Graham scholarship. They returned to Chile in 2019 to continue Bible teaching ministry.

Pablo began a Ph.D. in Old Testament (distance learning) in 2020 through the University of Aberdeen and Trinity College Bristol, focusing on Malachi’s critique of cultic failure and divine identity. He expects to defend his thesis in 2025.

Since 2021, Pablo has taught Old Testament at SEBTI, an online seminary serving students across Latin America. He and Cheryl, married since 2002, have three children—Amanda, Ray, and Michael—and currently live in Aurora, Toronto, where they serve in Bible teaching, counseling, and supporting immigrant families.
