The Tyndale Wesleyan Research Centre (TWRC) fosters knowledge and appreciation of Wesleyan history and theology, with a focus on the Canadian context.
A Special Collection
The TWRC maintains a specialized, non-circulating research collection of print materials and archival sources. The primary focus of the collection is on the Canadian Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The collection also includes broader Wesleyan, Methodist, and related sources that are important for interpreting the Canadian Holiness heritage (i.e., the Wesleys, early Methodism, British and American Methodism, missionary organizations, diaspora Wesleyan churches).
A Forum for Sharing Resources
The TWRC hosts events (Annual Wesley Studies Symposium, select seminars for Fellows of the centre) that allow scholars of the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition to share their work. In the future, the centre will also disseminate relevant resources to the Wesleyan community and the broader academic community (publications, recordings, digitized historical materials).
A Network of Scholars
The TWRC fosters a research community by establishing a group of fellows. The TWRC has three categories of fellows: Research Fellows (scholars), Associate Fellows (research-inclined pastors and laypersons), and Junior Fellows (advanced students).
